The interaction between the bishop and the Jean Valjean was not at all surprise because l had a feeling that the boshop was going to do something like that because he believes in the good of people. Yes I think that the bishop does serve as a meaningful role model to people because he does the good thing even though it is not the right thing.

Is Jean Valjean a static or dynamic character ? Well if your not really sure then I will tell. Well first lets start with what a dynamic and static character are. A dynamic character is a character that changes throughout the story. For example fantine she was once happy when she was going out with what is now a govener I think. But after he abandoned her she became poor and she had to move away and had to leave her daughter behind which made her sad. But then in her deathbed she was happy when Jean Valjean told her that he had gone for her child. That is what a dynamic character is. Can Intellectual Opposites Attract

I think that the one thing that i got surprised from was when Bienvenu went to go meet with the conventionist actually felt something and agreed with the conventionist and then after that the bishop looked at people differentlty. But in all the bishop learned new things and insight from the conventionist that he thought he knew.
